Borderline Personality Disorder

Pele Tower provides support to people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and associated mental health problems. Our structured therapeutic support can help stabilise lives without intensive use of medical and psychiatric services.

Who we are

Pele Tower intensively supported therapeutic community is a housing and day service based in North Shields, Tyne and Wear. We are part of Richmond Fellowship, one of the largest voluntary sector providers of mental health services in the UK.

Why we are called Pele Tower

Pele towers were fortified houses built long ago to provide a place of safety and sanctuary in times of danger. Today, when someone’s life has been chaotic and they are experiencing mental ill health, a place of safety and sanctuary can be the first step on their journey to recovery.
